Jackson Hole Grand Expeditions
Daniel
Daniel is the owner/operator of JH Grand Expeditions. He has hiked and photographed every inch of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Well....a huge part of each park.
Kelly
Before arriving in Jackson Hole in 2007, Kelly spent twelve adventurous years in Grand Junction, Colorado climbing Colorado's tall mountains (the 14ers) or hiking Utah's majestic National Parks and Monuments. There, she learned to fly fish, mountain bike, ski (downhill), raft the white waters, photography and educate herself in the extreme high altitude environments of the western United States.
A huge passion of Kelly's is competing with her thoroughbred horse in dressage. Because of her passion for animals, domestic and wild, Kelly with her twin sister Kathy own and operate Jackson Hole Feed & Pet in Jackson, WY.
Kelly is a registered nutritionist having graduated from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.
Kelly lives in Bridger-Teton National Forest with her husband Jack and their daughter Ella. She travels Grand Teton National Park on a daily basis and has assisted in leading pack mule teams into Hawk's Rest, the furthest point from any paved road in the continental United States.
As one can surmise, Kelly is a well-rounded, hardworking, professional and is a perfect fit for our company and the teaching of others about our natural world here in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We are proud to have her on board.
Tom
Tom recently returned to Jackson Hole this past year after working in San Luis de Paz, Mexico as a Peace Corp Volunteer. As a volunteer, Tom worked as a GIS Environmental Specialist.
Tom earned a M.S. degree in Natural Resource Management Conservation from Antioch University of New Emgland in Vermont and a M.S. degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) the University of Redland in California.
His work includes the planning & development of wildlife habitat models for Teton County, WY and working as a Teton County Weed & Pest Mapping Specialist, mapping plant invasive species throughout the county.
Tom has also worked as a rafting guide for Heart Six Ranch in Grand Teton National Park. His passions include bike touring, trail running and back-country skiing. Tom has solo hiked many of the Teton Peaks, including South, Middle, Nez Perce, Teewinot and the Grand.
We consider ourselves very lucky to have Tom aboard. He brings his enthusiasm, his experience and his knowledge to an already well-rounded team.
Tuttle (a.k.a. Jon)
"Tuttle" came to us in the summer of 2013. He is the product of being Alaskan born, Tennessee Smoky Mountain schooled and Colorado Rocky Mountain trained.
Jon was given the name "Tuttle" by his skydiving coherts for reasons not expressed here. Tuttle has guided float trips on Alaska's Nenana River and dog sled teams deep into the Alaskan wilds.
He also enjoys skiing (both downhill and cross-country), scuba diving in warmer waters, rock climbing, mountaineering, splunking, snow machining, fly fishing, photography and yoga.
Jon is a very personable and environmentally sound individual. He has an insane passion for the outdoors and his outgoing personality reflects just that, his love of anything natural.
A graduate in Environmental Studies from UT at Knoxville, you can find Jon on Sunday's hiking somewhere with his dog, a beautiful Alaskan Malumate named Jasper.
